Hey, I’m Kelly-Anne Roberts! I’m the News Anchor and Reporter on 88.1 The One.
I am from all over Canada. I was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland; lived in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut before my parents decided Camrose, Alberta was the place for them. Growing up, in the winters I wore my hockey skates more than any other pair of footwear. It’s safe to say that I’m a big sports fan. I played College hockey at Red Deer College and SAIT. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, before heading to SAIT where I just recently completed a diploma in Radio, Television and Broadcast News.
If I’m not at the station or out reporting, you can catch me watching the Flames, the Jays or hitting the links. I suppose I’ll have to get used to seeing blue and orange instead of red and yellow everywhere. While I’m a big sports fan I’m also a basic girl, I love Starbucks, the Mountains and being outdoors, as well as hanging out with my family.
Having grown up not too far from the Tri-Region area, I am excited to be living and working in this community. This is my first real job in broadcasting and I’m happy to be sharing this journey with you.
I’m on Facebook and Twitter with the news and if you want to talk about sports, just don’t diss the Flames.
