Carter O'Donnell joins the Colts after an excellent four year tenure with the Golden Bears, where he was an All-Canadian in 2019.
University of Alberta football player Carter O'Donnell has signed with the Indianapolis Colts.
O'Donnell, a 6'5, 310 pound offensive tackle signed with the Colts after he was not selected in the 2020 NFL draft, which took place from Thursday to Saturday. The Red Deer native spent the last four seasons as an anchor of the Golden Bears' offensive line, and he was recognized as a U-Sports All-Canadian in 2019.
O'Donnell will reportedly receive a significant $25,000 signing bonus with the Colts. He will join an offensive line that includes All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson and tackle Anthony Castonzo, and will be tasked with protecting star quarterback Philip Rivers.
