Saints knock out Crusaders in 6

AJHL Final starts Friday in Brooks against Bandits

Cam Mitchell had a hat trick, while Jordan Biro added the third-period winner in Spruce Grove's 6-4 win over Sherwood Park on Sunday.

With the win, the Saints eliminated the Crusaders from the North Final in six games, after being down 2-0 in the series.

Head Coach Bram Stephen spoke about the turning point in the series.

Meanwhile, Brett Trentham scored for the first time since November 24th, as the veteran returned to the lineup in Game 3 after being injured for the previous four months.

The Saints came away with a 3-2 series lead after a dominant 5-1 win in Sherwood Park in Game 5.

That night, Nick Leyer had two goals and an assist, to go along with multi-point nights from Logan Ganie, Seth Fyten, Cole Basnett, and Tanner Hickey.
 
Spruce Grove and Brooks will play for the league title, after the Bandits eliminated the Okotoks Oilers in six games.

That series starts on the weekend in Brooks, with Game 1 on Friday night.
