Team beats DV, loses vs Grande Prairie

Spruce Grove veterans Logan Ganie and Jordan Biro each connected, while Ty Whitford, Tanner Hopps, and Jeremy Klessens were all denied in the Saints' first shootout victory of the season.

Jake Ashton and Seth Fyten scored goals just over three minutes apart to send a tie game to the third period.
The Storm scored initially off a slapper from a pinching Tyrell Boucher to go up 3-2, but watched the Saints tie it less than a minute later, off an odd-man rush finished off by Logan Ganie.
But Matt Rempe and Parker Saretsky were each sent to the box within 40 seconds of each other, giving Grande Prairie a two man advantage.
Leading scorer Zach Okabe scored his second of the game, on a pass attempt that deflected off a Saints penalty killer in front, to put Grande Prairie up 4-3.
Spruce Grove peppered Kaeden Lane with 46 shots on the afternoon, as he stopped 43 for his 12th win on the year.
Up next for the Saints, a visit back to Drayton Valley on Tuesday night against the Thunder.
