Saints defenceman Ryan Conroy awarded Finning AJHL Scholarship

Spruce Grove Saints' Ryan Conroy has been awarded the Finning AJHL scholarship this past Sunday during their pre-game ceremony.

A Saints defenceman has been awarded the Finning AJHL Scholarship. 

The Finning Scholarship awards only one Alberta Junior Hockey League Player with this $1,000 scholarship per year and Ryan Conroy has decided to use this money to attend Yale and play for the NCAA in the 2020-21 Season. Conroy has proven to be a hard worker not only on the ice, but in the classroom as well and exceeds expectations in his quality of work. 

Ryan is a three year Veteran in the AJHL and has 160 regular season games under his belt playing for the Fort McMurray Oil Barrons and Spruce Grove Saints. Starting as a 16-year-old rookie, Conroy worked his way up to being Captain of Team AJHL during the 2019 Junior Club World Cup in Russia this past August.
