Saints' Davis picked for Prospects Game

Top draft eligible prospects in CJHL suit up in January

Spruce Grove Saints goaltender Matthew Davis will get another chance to shine on a big stage.

After capturing bronze with Canada West at the Junior A Challenge in Bonnyville, Davis will suit up in the CJHL's Prospects Game next month.

He's one of only five AJHL-ers to get picked for the team, which is picked by NHL Central Scouting.

Davis joins Canada West teammates Dylan Holloway and Luke Bast, along with Carter Gylander from Sherwood Park and Zach Okabe of Grande Prairie as AJHL representatives.

It features 40 of the top Junior A players eligible for the upcoming draft in Vancouver.

The game will be watched from scouts representing teams in the NHL, CHL, NCAA, and USports.

Okotoks will host the event on January 22.
