Sherwood Park lead cut to 2-1 heading into Game 4
The Spruce Grove Saints picked up a crucial 5-3 victory on home ice last night, against the Sherwood Park Crusaders in Game 3 of the North Division final.
The Saints got off to a quick start with a goal from Dylan Bourlai just over two minutes into the game, followed up by a powerplay goal from Ryan Peckford.
Bourlai's second of the night then made it 3-0 before the game was eight minutes old.
The two teams swapped powerplay goals from Jordan Biro and Michael Benning in the second period, before the Saints got out to a 5-1 lead midway through the third.
Parker Saretsky's third goal of the series, and sixth of the postseason, gave Spruce Grove its third powerplay goal on the night.
Nick Bowman and Brayden Hyland added late goals for the Crusaders, whose series lead has been cut to 2-1.
Following the win, Saints Head Coach Bram Stephen spoke about how his team needs to continue to play if they're going to be successful in tying up the series.
The Saints and Crusaders will play Game 4 on Tuesday night at Grant Fuhr Arena, before a couple nights off ahead of Game 5 in Sherwood Park on Friday.
Puck drop for both is set for 7 pm.
