Saints acquire Gengenbach in deal with Kodiaks

'00 forward scored 22 points last season

The Spruce Grove Saints have added a new face for next season.
The team acquired 18-year-old Colson Gengenbach from the Camrose Kodiaks on Tuesday, in exchange for cash.
Gengenbach, who turns 19 in two weeks, has spent two full seasons with the Kodiaks after playing seven games as a 16-year-old affilliate.
In 105 regular season games, he's put up 18 goals and 26 assists for 44 points.
Spruce Grove has also added to its coaching staff, with the addition of Ian Gordon as goaltending coach.
Gordon has the same position with the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds, and also held the job with the Drayton Valley Thunder for the past two years.
Former goalie coach Jamie McCaig joined the Whitecourt Wolverines in the same capacity last week, after two years with the Saints.
