Posse power past Warriors 10-6

Win snaps two-game losing streak for Parkland

Despite being bit hard by the injury bug, the Parkland Posse junior lacrosse team picked up a big win last night.

Midget call-up Wesley Foster had two goals and an assist in the team's 10-6 win over the Edmonton Warriors.

He talked about how getting into a Junior B game allowed for a different experience than his Midget team.

"They were definitely faster, a huge thing was obviously size. These guys, they're a lot older than I am - I just turned 16 a couple days ago" he said.

"I just had to find ways to get by them. I see myself as a quick player; I'm not huge but I was able to use my speed to my advantage at some points and get around them anyway."

River Scott, Seth Bellerose, and Sebastian Simonson also each had a goal and an assist for Parkland.

The Posse also swept the season series with the Warriors, after beating them 7-5 in the season opener.

Scoring leaders Ethan Sim and Kobe Breast were out of the Posse lineup on Monday, as the team snapped a two game losing streak.

The team stays home this weekend for a doubleheader against Wainwright and Vermilion on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
