Posse fall to Heat in playoffs

Season ends after losses in Cold Lake

The Parkland Posse junior lacrosse team's season came to an end over the weekend.

The first round of the playoffs pitted the Posse up against the Lakeland Heat for a best of three series in Cold Lake.

The Posse led 4-3 after two periods in Game 1 on Saturday, thanks to goals from Ethan Sim, Kobe Breast, Andy Ryerson, and Mitch McEwan.

But the Heat scored three in the third to pick up a 6-4 win.

In Game 2, the Heat hit double digits in a 10-4 win that eliminated the Posse.

Lakeland now moves onto the provincials, which will be hosted by the Sherwood Park Titans, who beat Lloydminster over the weekend.
