Ryan Peckford had a little extra pep in his step in his team's 10-5 win over the Lloydminster Bobcats last night, as he led his team with 7 points.

Ryan Peckford had a little extra pep in his step in his team's 10-5 win over the Lloydminster Bobcats last night.

The Spruce Grove Saints forward burst out of the game strong, scoring his first goal of the game 1:05 into the first period. He would then follow that up with another goal and two assists in the first eight minutes and 21 seconds in the first period, before scoring his hat trick in the second. Peckford assisted on Graham Gamache and Cole Basnett's goals later in the second to give himself his seven points. His seven points on the night gives him 28 on the season, with 13 goals and 15 assists.

Aside from Peckford, Cole Basnett had two goals and an assist, and five other players had two points in the game to help the Saints improve to 15-3-0. Maxence Duchesne got the start in net for Spruce Grove, stopping 21 of 26 shots for his fourth win of the year.

The Saints will take their momentum to a Friday game against the first place Sherwood Park Crusaders on Friday.
