Mets finish season on winning note

Stony Plain wins last four games of regular season

The Stony Plain Mets wrapped up their regular season with a 7-0 win on Friday night.

Despite rattling off four victories in their final five games of the year, the Mets finished one game outside the final playoff spot.

That spot will go to either Westlock or St. Albert, who play off in a one-game qualifier tonight.

The winner moves on to play Sherwood Park in the semis, while Edmonton's Primeaus and Blackhawks play in the other semi.

The Hawks are the league's defending champions.
