Julia Lovsin places fourth in Argentina

Stony Plain's Julia Lovsin can add a major Olympic accomplishment to her resume.

The 17-year-old is fresh off competing at the Summer Youth Olympic Games in Argentina.

She ran in the Women's 400 metre hurdles, and finished fourth place in the world, as one of 16 athletes competing in the event.

Lovsin finished with a combined time of 2:00.84, which meant she missed the podium by only nine one hundredths of a second.

She's a local student in Spruce Grove at St. Peter the Apostle High School
