The Spruce Grove Saints have added a new player to their roster.
The Saints announced on Saturday that 2002 born forward Nik Hong has signed a letter of intent for the 2020-2021 season. The 17-year-old Minnesotan forward spent last year with the prestigious Shattuck St.Mary’s hockey program located in Fairibault, Minnesota, where he put up 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points in 46 games. Other notable alumni from Shattuck St. Mary's include NHL stars Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, along with womens' hockey superstar Amanda Kessel.
Hong has also previously spent parts of his life in the United Kingdom and Russia due to his parents' careers, which Hong says has helped him mature as a person and player.
