Flyers take down Riggers 3-2, win third in a row

The Stony Plain Flyers beat the Leduc Riggers 6-2 last night to improve their record to 3-0-0.

The Stony Plain Flyers officially have a winning streak.

The Flyers faced off against the Leduc Riggers yesterday, and ended up stomping all over them with a 6-2 victory. They were led by assistant captain Owen Churko, who scored four goals and added an assist, and Nate Lakusta, who added three helpers of his own.  Goaltender Noah Wiens also had an excellent game, stopping 43 of 44 shots that he faced. Brennan Franks and Mitchel McEwan had a goal each as well to seal their team's third win in as many games.

With their third win, the Flyers sit in first place in their division, and are averaging a whopping 6.33 goals per game. They look to continue their hot start tomorrow night with a matchup against the 2-0-0 Beverly Warriors on home ice/
