Flyers fall 7-2 to Warriors

The Flyers' win streak ended at 2 last night, as they couldn't keep pace with the Beverly Warriors and fell 7-2.

The Stony Plain Flyers had a night to forget last night, as they fell to the first-place Beverly Warriors on the road.

Mitchell Vaillant scored 3:38 into the first period to open the scoring for the Warriors, and it never stopped from there onwards. The Warriors would score 7 unanswered goals, with two in the first, three in the second and two more in the third. Stony Plain finally go on the board with 8:32 left in the third when Dean DeBlois scored his second of the year. Jacob Hiemstra would add his fifth with just over five minutes remaining, but it did not matter as the Warriors took the game 7-2.

Noah Wiens had a busy night in net for the Flyers, facing 55 shots and stopping 47. With the loss, his record moves to 4-3-0 with a 3.19 GAA and a .912 Save Percentage.
