Blue tops White 2-1 in Saints annual intrasquad scrimmage

Blue beats White as team shifts focus to GP

The Spruce Grove Saints split their training camp roster right down the middle for their annual Blue-White intrasquad game last night.

Down 1-0 in the second period, Team White tied the game with a nice passing play between Cam Mitchell and Logan Ganie on an odd-man rush.

But Team Blue got the goal back in the final minute of the period, when Kris Bladen fed Parker Saretsky on a 2-on-1 of their own.

The Blues held on for the 2-1 win.

Coming up tonight, the Saints are back on home ice for their first exhibition game of 2018, when the Grande Prairie Storm come to town for the first half of a home and home set.

Puck drop is at 7:00, while admission is $5 at the door.
