AJHL Selects going for gold in Russia

Team beats unbeaten Finland in semifinal

Team AJHL is set to play for gold this weekend at the Junior Club World Cup in Socchi, Russia.
Spruce Grove Saints goaltender Matt Davis made 38 saves this morning, in the team's 5-1 win over Finland's K�rp�t U20 squad in the tournament's first semifinal.
Team AJHL will face the host Russians of Loko Yaroslavl - the same team who beat the AJ 3-2 in their first round robin game, and is so far undefeated in the tournament.
Saints forwards Jordan Biro and Cam Mitchell are also on the team, with Biro tied for third in tournament scoring heading into Friday's semifinal games.
Max Giangualano of the Canmore Eagles scored twice in Friday's win, with his teammate Alex Young also recording two points.
The gold medal game will be played on Saturday at 10 am Mountain Time.
