One injured in attempted robbery.
A 15-year-old male teen from Spruce Grove is in custody and now faces charges of robbery, aggravated assault and use of an imitation firearm stemming from an incident last month.
On June 23rd, 2018, the Spruce Grove RCMP received a complaint of a man who was shot in the eye with a pellet gun during an attempted robbery. The man, 20, was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.
After an investigation the teenaged suspect, who was known to the victim, was arrested and charged. The youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and has since been released from custody. Police do not feel there is any threat posed to the public.
The youth is scheduled for a court appearance at the Stony Plain Provincial Courthouse on July 6th, 2018.
