Workshops will support locals living with chronic pain

The Better Choices, Better Health workshops will be held every Monday from March 18- April 22 at Stony Plain's Westview Health Centre.

Locals have an opportunity to join free workshops to learn how to better live with chronic pain.

The Better Choices, Better Health workshops are coming to the WestView Health Centre in Stony Plain starting on Monday.

The sessions are led by trained volunteers, many of whom live with a chronic disease themselves. Alberta Health Services says this approach ensures a deeper understanding of the challenges participants face and provides a supportive and welcoming environment.

Topics include dealing with difficult emotions, communicating with healthcare providers, handling pain and fatigue, and several others.

AHS says this is just one of many services provided by the Alberta Healthy Living Program, which supports chronic disease management programs throughout Alberta.

Workshops will be held consecutive Mondays from March 18 to April 22 at 6- 8:30 p.m.
