Violent thefts under investigation in St. Albert

Two in past week along St. Albert Trail

RCMP in St. Albert are investigating a couple of violent robberies over the last week.

Both happened at businesses on St. Albert Trail, just south of Boudreau Road in the middle of the day.

On Friday morning just after 10, two men approached a man walking out of his beauty store business, and hit him in the head multiple times.

They then ran off into another vehicle with a couple of handbags, one of which had his laptop inside.

Both suspects were wearing all black, and are described as one black and one Asian man, both about 30 years old.

On Sunday, three men walked into a mobility business at about 2:30, and punched the man working there in the head.

The three men stole 4 or 5 cell phones while the worker ran to a neighbouring business to call the cops.

All three of those suspects were described as black men dressed in all black.

The RCMP are still trying to figure out if the two crimes are related.
