Candidates can apply up to Nov. 1
The United Conservative Party's constituency association in Spruce Grove-Stony Plain is opening up applications for anyone wanting to become the local candidate for the upcoming provincial election.
The Association will hand out applications until next Thursday, and accept them until November 1.
The application consists of signatures from 50 UCP members who also live in the riding, along with 2000 dollars worth of fees - half of that is a refundable deposit.
It'll be the fist election for the new riding, which realigns much of the old Spruce Grove-St.Albert constituency with Stony Plain.
Both those seats went to NDP MLAs in 2015 - Erin Babcock and Trevor Horne.
More information on the application process can be found by emailing email@example.com.
