Two People are Charged in Relation to a Stolen Vehicle

A woman from Entwistle and a man from Yellowhead County have been arrested while an Entwistle man remains at large.

Two suspects are now facing charges while one remains at large after the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Team located a stolen vehicle earlier this month.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on May 20th, CRU members were patrolling a rural area where they spotted a wanted male in a stolen vehicle. RCMP then tried to make contact with the driver before they fled. The vehicle was then located a short time after and two out of the three occupants were arrested without incident.

Police Dog Services attempted to find the third suspect but he could not be located.

Adam James Barass, 33, of Yellowhead County and 34 year-old Megan Yuhasz of Entwistle were charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and over $5,000. Barass was also charged with the possession of break-in instruments.

Barass was since released on bail and was due in court on May 28th.

Yuhasz was also released on Recognizance with a court date set for June 25th at the Evansburg Provincial Court.

Thirty-five year old Robert William Sherwood of Entwistle still remains at large and is wanted on several charges including 8 new charges from this incident. He has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, obstructing a peace officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle among other charges.
