Early morning Sunday crash under investigation.
The Stony Plain/Spruce Grove/Enoch RCMP are currently investigating a highway collision which killed a pair of pedestrians early Sunday morning.
Around 12:52 AM yesterday, police say they were called to the scene of a serious crash on the eastbound lanes of Highway 16A near Range Road 265, just southwest of Acheson, involving a single vehicle and two pedestrians. The investigation led to the closure of the road for several hours, with it being reopened just before 6:00 a.m.
At this time, police aren't sharing the age or identities of the two pedestrians while it's also unknown what kind of vehicle was involved in the collision.
