Two Dead After Highway Collision

November 10th Tri-Region Crash Proves Fatal

Late last week, highways in the Tri-Region proved fatal after a two vehicle collision.

The Stony Plain/Spruce Grove/Enoch RCMP say the collision occurred on Friday evening, with crews responding to reports of the crash around 6:22 PM.  The location of the incident was Highway 37 at Range Road 31 and after the initial investigation police are saying a sedan travelling east on Highway 633 collided with a westbound SUV.

The lone occupant of the sedan, a 61 year old male, was pronounced dead at the scene while the three occupants of the SUV were all transported to the hospital.  Once at the hospital, a 32 year old woman would succumb to her injuries while the other two occupants were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The names of the deceased are not being released by police at this time but the two deceased are both from the Stony Plain area.  The RCMP, with the assistance of a collision analyst, are continuing the investigation.
