Spruce Grove man was beaten with skateboard; pool cue in the early morning of June 17th.

In the early morning hours of Father's Day last month, Spruce Grove resident Anthony Anderson, 24, was beaten with a skateboard and a pool cue near his home on Maple Street and Miller Avenue.  Anderson received extensive injuries to his face and suffered blood loss after he reportedly confronted a group of young men he believed to be trying to break into vehicles.

After the following investigation the local RCMP are announcing arrests have been made of three male youths and all three have been charged with aggravated assault.

The three suspects cannot be named due to protections under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, but all three have been released from custody and are set to appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court to face the charges.

Since the case is now before the courts, no further information will be provided.
