Suspects charged in break and enter of Spruce Grove business

Nicholas Lepine and Allisha Gariepy face five charges for the Feb. 18 incident.

The search for suspects in the break and enter of a Spruce Grove business has come to an end after RCMP charged two people for their involvement.

On Feb. 18, a local business had over five thousand dollars worth of tools stolen from it. Police say there were initially not many leads, but through further investigation and video surveillance, they were able to identify two suspects.

Twenty-one-year-old Allisha Gariepy and 38-year-old Nicholas Lepine have been charged with breaking and entering a business, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, theft over five thousand dollars, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of break-in instruments. The two are both from Edmonton.

RCMP say most of the tools have been found, but some are still missing. They ask you to contact them or Crime Stoppers if you have any information on the case.

The pair were released after a judicial hearing and will appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on March 13
