Stony Plain RCMP Assist in Break and Enter Case

A collaboration between Viking and Stony Plain RCMP has led to two arrests.

A male and female suspect have been arrested and charged following a break and enter.

On February 5th, Viking RCMP responded to a report on Range Road 110 where a homeowner witnessed a male suspect attempting to break into his garage and steal his truck. After confronting the suspect the victim was threatened but luckily the victim was not injured.

The male suspect then picked up the female suspect in the stolen truck and fled the residence. The couple then abandoned the vehicle in a ditch and got into a previously abandoned stolen truck. RCMP were able to locate them but could not pursue them due to public safety concerns.

Then, at approximately 1:00 p.m, the suspects stole another truck from a gas station in Viking and were last seen headed westbound on Highway 14.

Stony Plain RCMP then collaborated with Viking RCMP which led to both suspects being identified. It was also discovered the suspects were wanted on previous Criminal Code charges out of Edmonton.

On February 7th, RCMP located and arrested both suspects without incident. Thirty-five year old Abray Wayne Isaac and 23 year old Alicia Christine Silva both from Spruce Grove were charged with several offences. Isaac has been charged with possession stolen property, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and breach of probation. Silva faces possession of stolen property and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle.

Isaac has been remanded into custody while Silva was released on bail. Both are due in court on February 26th.
