Stony Plain nets grant for storm water master plan

FCM puts up $136k

Stony Plain is getting a chunk of change that will pay for most of its Storm Water Management Master Plan.
The $136,185.80 grant is coming from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, which puts up money for municipal projects relating to sustainability and the environment.
The money will cover 80% of the cost of the Master Plan.
The town says the plan focuses on the flow of surface water, as well as on developing catchment areas to mitigate flooding.
