Stony Plain keeps pushing for utility e-billing

Roughly 2/3 of Town's customers still on paper bills

The Town of Stony Plain is looking for more people to sign up for electronic utility billing.
At its last meeting, council approved a plan to ramp up a public awareness campaign designed to increase the number of customers with e-billing.
The town has run a social media campaign over the last six months, which led to a 3.6% increase in the number of paperless customers.
At 32.3%, just under a third of utility customers now get their bills online.
The town says e-billing costs less and is more environmentally friendly.
You can email if you want to make the switch from paper billing.
