The Town of Stony Plain is inviting residents to participate in Jane's Walk 2018.
The Town of Stony Plain is hoping citizens will join in on a walking tour of the town.
Serving another purpose, Jane's Walk 2018 is an opportunity for residents to provide input on the future of the town in an open collective space. Culture and Tourism Development Officer Angela Fetch Muzyka explains, "Jane’s Walk allows residents to observe what Stony Plain currently is, reflect on what it once was, and imagine the potential of what it could be."
The tour will be led by Dianne Duncan who is a member of both the Volkssport Association of Alberta and the Stony Plain Cultural Roundtable.
The timing of the walk comes as the town is currently asking residents for input on the Old Town Community Plan.
No registration is required for the walk and it takes place on May 6th at the Multicultural Heritage Centre at 1:30 p.m.
