Stony Plain Brings Back Tree Chipping Event

The Town of Stony Plain is giving residents a chance to get rid of their Christmas trees after the holidays.

The annual Christmas Tree Chipping Event has returned to the Town of Stony Plain.

Partnering up with FortisAlberta and Davey Tree Service the town is giving residents a chance to drop off their old Christmas trees to be chipped and later used for landscaping projects in the town.

FortisAlberta is donating the equipment and time for the event while Davey Tree will be doing the chipping.

The event is being held at the Rotary Recycling Centre and all trees must be dropped off at teh Centre by the end of the day on January 21st.

This is part of Stony Plains "Don't Trash It!" Campaign which promotes responsible and thoughtful disposal of waste in the community.
