One man is in custody following a stabbing in the Grandin area.
An altercation in St. Albert has led to one arrest.
At approximately 10:50 p.m. on January 31st, police received information regarding an altercation between several people in the Grandin Area. The information said two people had been stabbed and the suspects had fled on foot.
Upon arrival, the RCMP found two people suffering from multiple stab wounds. They were both transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
A male suspect was then quickly apprehended due to the assistance of an Edmonton Police helicopter. The 35 year old male is now in custody facing multiple assault and weapons related charges.
St. Albert RCMP believe this event was not random and that the people knew each other. They are also asking anyone with information that lives in the Grenfell/Gatewood area to call the RCMP as the suspects may have been in some backyards.
