St. Albert RCMP Arrest Two in Drug Investigation

The individuals arrested are alleged to have been trafficking opioid based controlled substances.

On March 14th, St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit concluded a lengthy investigation into drug trafficking resulting in the arrest of a male and a female.

The adult male resides in Fort Saskatchewan while the adult female resides in Edmonton.

36 year-old Matthew Doonanco was charged with multiple counts of trafficking a controlled substance, multiple counts of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in addition to failing to comply with the conditions of his recognizance and criminal code drive while disqualified.

30 year-old Tara Brown faced similar charges with one count of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

Both Doonanco and Brown are set to appear in St. Albert Provincial court on April 30th.
