St. Albert police aim to identify credit card thief

Card was stolen during truck break-in

A credit card stolen from the inside of a truck in St. Albert was used at a local gas station.

That's according to RCMP, who say it happened in the early morning hours of May 20.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous man with short brown hair and a slim build, who wore a black pea coat and black shirt, and carried a brown leather bag.

He charged roughly 92 dollars to the card at the Petro Canada Station at 1:40 am.

The credit card had been taken out of a purse that was sitting in a truck parked on Hanratty Point.

The card was taken after a window to the vehicle had been smashed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Albert RCMP Detachment at 780-458-7700.
