St. Albert Man Pleads Guilty to Personation Charges

37 year-old Mark Andrew Capowski has plead guilty to impersonating a police officer.

A St. Albert man has plead guilty for impersonating a police officer back in the summer.

In July, St. Albert and Westlock RCMP received multiple reports of a man who was impersonating a police officer and pulling people over using a silver Chevrolet Silverado Suburban with a black grill and "under cover lights". When the man pulled people over he would request their license, registration and insurance.

Following an investigation by the RCMP, police arrested Mark Andrew Capowski from St. Albert on Personation and Forcible Confinement charges back in August.

After appearing in court on December 20th, Capowski plead guilty to two charges of Personation and on charge of Forcible Confinement along with similar charges from the Westlock RCMP.

Additionally, Capowski received a Suspended Sentence, 40 hours of Community Service and 1 year of Probation.
