Spruce Grove woman arrested during armed robbery in Mayerthorpe

Three adults arrested during armed robbery of a Mayerthorpe liqour Store

A Spruce Grove woman has been arrested following an armed robbery in Mayerthorpe.

On March 21st, Mayerthorpe RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Liquor Stop in Sangudo. Two men wearing masks entered the store, producing a bat and a firearm before pepper spraying employees and stealing from the register. The two males got into a waiting vehicle with a third person as the driver and fled the scene.Mayerthorpe RCMP located the vehicle shortly after receiving the call. 

A pursuit of the fleeing vehicle ensued, as it traveled towards Barrhead on a rural road. Barrhead RCMP assisted in the pursuit and deployed a tire deflation device to incapacitate the vehicle. All three were taken into custody without further incident. 

Annie Moberly of Spruce Grove, along with Darwin Hallock an Norman Wanyandie of Grande Cache are facing the following charges: 
·        Armed robbery
·        Assault
·        Pointing a firearm
·        Wearing a disguise in the commission of an offence
·        Flight from police

Moberly was released from police custody on conditions. They will appear in Mayerthorpe court on June 11.
