Residents are asked be cautious when near the roadside mowers and stay at least 30 meters back when driving
Roadside mowing in Parkland County is about to begin.
Crews will be mowing grass next to highways starting this month, depending on the weather. Please be cautious when near the roadside mowers and stay at least 30 meters back when driving, only pass when its safe to do so, and show extreme caution as a pedestrian or cyclist.
Please ensure that all signs without a permit are removed. Parkland County will remove and dispose of any unpermitted signs that are left within the road allowance.
In addition, Parkland County sprays roadsides and subdivisions between June and September. Herbicide applications and other integrated management practices will be used throughout the County during that time in order to control weeds and brush.
