RCMP catch man in stolen car

Driver's license was also suspended

Parkland RCMP caught a man behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle last week.

On Thursday, officers recognized a suspended driver in a car heading into the Westland Market Mall in Spruce Grove.

Once there, it dropped off a man and parked in a handicap stall.

After police pulled up behind the car, the suspect rammed backwards into the cruiser, and then tried to escape by running away.

20-year-old Kalob Kochanowsky was arrested and handed 4 seperate charges.

He remains in custody ahead of an appearance in St. Albert court on September 26.

Police are also looking for the second man who was dropped off.

They believe he was there to commit a potential crime at the mall, and are asking for the public's help in finding him.
