Volunteer organization looking for recruits
This year is a special anniversary for Parkland Search and Rescue.
2018 is the volunteer force's 20th in operation.
Training Coordinator Trevor Adams says the team is always looking for new recruits to join up.
He says says you've got to be at least 18, and have the right attitude.
The Search and Rescue team will resume its Wednesday night training sessions at their hall on 51 Avenue in Stony Plain, in the new year.
Adams says there are countless skills the team trains on and practices together.
He says he ended up becoming hooked on search and rescue after finishing his service with the Canadian Forces.
For anyone who's interested in watching or joining in, you're invited to stop by one of the training nights starting next month.
