Parkland RCMP bust 3 youth in break and enters

The incidents occurred early Saturday morning.

Parkland RCMP has charged three youth following two break and enters in the early morning hours on Saturday.

The first occurred at about a quarter to 2:00 a.m., when officers responded to an alarm at the school. RCMP say the suspects gained entry to the school by damaging the door and then vandalized a classroom.  No suspects were located in the search, but an alarm at a nearby business would help police find their suspects.

At about 4:00 a.m., RCMP were able to use surveillance footage that showed three male youths inside the business, however the youth were nowhere to be found upon arrival. RCMP Police Dog Services were deployed and the team successfully tracked the trio to a home.

The three youth were arrested and charged with:

·         Break and enter a business

·         Possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000

·         Mischief under $5000

·         Disguised with intent to commit an offence

RCMP says the investigation is ongoing.
