A man has been arrested in Devon for outstanding warrants by the Integrated Crime Reduction Unit.
The RCMP's newest formed unit is already completing arrests in Devon.
The Integrated Crime Reduction Unit was created to focus on specific targets and identifying criminals who pose the biggest impact in the community. The ICRU is composed of members from participating detachments in the Central Alberta District and are hoping to create more efficient information and intelligence sharing.
On October 23, 2017 the ICRU arrested 26-year-old Mitchell Sydlowski after he was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants in Devon and Stony Plain. He was arrested without incident and is now facing several criminal charges including, failing to comply with condition of undertaking, taking a motor vehicle without consent, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Sydlowski is being held in custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 25, in Leduc.
