A man has been charged with second degree murder after an investigation into a suspicious death at the Paul First Nation Transfer Station.

A man has been charged with second degree murder after an investigation into a suspicious death at the Paul First Nation Transfer Station.

Parkland RCMP and the Major Crimes Unit launched the investigation after responding to a call saying a man was dead at the station on October 2nd. An autopsy revealed the man, identified as 48-year-old Jamie Saulteaux, died of blunt force trauma, and after a search, police arrested 37-year-old Christopher Adam Appleby in connection with the death.

Appleby has been charged with second degree murder, and will appear in court tomorrow in Stony Plain.
