Man arrested in connection to bomb threat at the Tri-Leisure Centre

Parkland RCMP have arrested a man in connection to the October 17th bomb threat at the Tri-Leisure Centre.

Parkland RCMP have arrested a man in connection to the bomb threat at the Tri- Leisure Centre.

On October 17th just after 6pm, police responded to a call reporting a bomb threat at the centre. The building was quickly evacuated and the area was secured by police and emergency services after no bomb was found. The centre was then re-opened to its regular hours the next day.

27-year-old Brandon Czapp of Edmonton is facing charges of Public Mischief, Mischief under $5000, and Breach of Recognizance in relation to the call. He was held for a justice interim hearing and released, and his first court appearance is scheduled for Nov.13 in Stony Plain Provincial Court.
