Flight left Parkland Airport for Chilliwack
A week after wreckage was found from a Spruce Grove man's plane crash in BC, another small plane has gone missing.
Two people took off in the white Vans RV6 two-seater from Parkland Airport on Friday morning.
When the plane didn't arrive in Chilliwack, it was reported overdue early that afternoon.
The Canadian Air Force base in Comox was the first to send searchers, who used a rescue aircraft and a helicopter.
Local search and rescuers joined in on Saturday, with 10 aircraft taking part as of Sunday.
Military rescuers say a low cloud ceiling has impacted visibility, and made the initial search more difficult.
The search is now spanning north, between Chilliwack and Valemount, BC - that's southeast of Prince George.
Last week's discovery near Revelstoke came roughly 10 months after 28 year old Dominic Neron from Spruce Grove and his 31 year old girlfriend Ashley Bourgeault were on their way back home from Penticton.
