Entwistle breaks ground on community hub project on Monday

The event runs after the Canada Day parade.

Entwistle will officially break ground on its community hub project as part of its Canada Day celebration.

Parkland County councilors will be there for the occasion, which goes after the parade, at around 1:00 Monday afternoon. The event is hosted at the hub’s future site at 4916 51 Street, and features an update on the plans for the new facility.

The construction carries a price tag of about $9.3 million and will replace the existing pool and community hub.

Work is expected to conclude in 2020.
