The bylaw may be implemented if the City is placed under a watch by the province.
As active cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in Parkland County, the City of Spruce Grove is getting closer to activating its Temporary Mandatory Face Coverings Bylaw.
The bylaw may be implemented if the City is placed under a watch as determined by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, but as of this morning, the City currently has seventeen active cases, one short of falling under the watch.
Masks are mandatory on public transit and city-owned facilities such as City Hall and the Agrena, Border Paving Athletic Centre, and Fuhr Sports Park.
Outside of Spruce Grove, the Town of Stony Plain has just four active cases.
