Canada Day impacting traffic/parking in Spruce Grove

Section of Grove Drive shut down late Monday

With Canada Day coming up on Monday, parking in Spruce Grove's Jubilee Park will be blocked off between Saturday and Tuesday.
That means anyone getting to and from the festivities can use the park and ride service that will run between the event and six locations.
Those locations will be at the Agrena, the Tri Leisure Centre, Composite High School, Spruce Grove Alliance Church, St. Marguerite/St. Thomas Aquinas School, as well as St. Peter Catholic School.
On Monday night, Grove Drive will be closed for two hours between Greystone Middle School and Jubilee Park from 10 pm and midnight, as event staff prepare for the fireworks show, as well as move people out of the park afterwards.
Local traffic will be allowed, but limited access will be available to and from neighbourhoods east of Century Road for those couple hours.
Lastly, the city is reminding neighbourhoods with Monday garbage and recycling pickup that collection service will still happen on Canada Day.
