A Search Warrant in St. Albert Leads to Three Arrests

Three men are in custody following a two-month investigation.

A long investigation payed off for the St. Albert RCMP.

A two-month long investigation involving allegations of drug trafficking was conducted by several section of the St. Albert and Edmonton Police led to a search warrant at a residence in Edmonton.

As a result of the warrant, RCMP seized a substantial amount of cash, some cocaine and some fentanyl. RCMP believe the amount of fentanyl seized was enough to cause 7500 overdoses in the Capital Region.

Three men were also arrested and pressed with the following charges:

Subeer Hamud Jama, 31:

  • Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000 
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000 
  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Resist Arrest
  • Break and Enter with Intent

Ali Foureh Waiss, 34:

  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000 (x5)
  • Trafficking Heroin (x4)

Kabambi Khamba, 31:

  • Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking (x2)
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking 
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of Crack Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking

The men appeared in court on January 29th and their matters were carried over to February 5th. All three still remain in custody.
