An ability to work well independently, while also taking direction
An ability to produce local news content for our listeners in the Parkland region, including an understanding of how to localize major provincial and national stories
Knowledge of KLZ Newsroom is an asset, but not required. If you’re coming from Burli, we’ll convert you
Experience with editing interviews down into broadcast-quality actualities
Ability to multitask and update station website and social media feeds as you work
A willingness to work and to learn. Being reliable and well-organized will go a long way, too
